Beam splitters-10.6µm
The common Beams plitter is used to split or combine laser beam.A beamsplitter coating is deposited on the front surface , while the back surface has an antireflection coating to improve transmission .it prevents interference effects between light reflected from the front and back surfaces of the beamsplitter by reducing the average reflectance to less than 3% for the back surface. To further mitigate interference effects, the back surface has a 30 arcmin wedge so that light reflected by this surface does not propagate parallel to the reflected light from the front surfacet.the Wedge Back Surface Minimizes Ghosting.
